I know it's borderline slap-stick, but, honestly, 0:49 is one of the best moments in documentary film.... ever. Oh.... their stiff little legs!

These new advertisements for Old Spice are shamefully misogynistic, but somehow I just can't stop giggling at that bit where he's on a horse.

A tattoo of your name on my butt
2/4/2010 6:33:09 PM
Interesting ebay concept, this one. The only thing is that upon saving the image that 'Khulum' has provided, it's jpeg name - 'demi-morre-twitter-butt' - reveals that it isn't in fact a picture of the owner's rear. Imagine if you paid $500+ for this 'honour', and then a picture of your name on a strangers butt came back and it was a seriously repulsive one?

My Dick

Look, I can be a wanky sort of gal, and appreciate 'beautiful' and 'melodic' and 'artistic' music. But, at the end of it all, lyrics just don't come better than this. Enough said. It only takes one line to make me giggle like a silly little schoolgirl.

My Life is Twilight
1/19/2010 12:48:16 AM
Today a guy I work with practically ran - nay, skipped joyfully - in to the room and annouced that tweenage girls everywhere were all going to slit their wrists tonight. Apparently some friend-of-a-friend of his from the US had messaged him saying that Edward Cullen/Cedric Diggory/Robert Pattinson had just officially come out of the closet to the American media.

After some equally conclusive journalistic research on my behalf (google), I realised that this was all a load of utter shit. Not the part about the vampire being gay - for all we know, his bung-eyed co-star/"girlfriend" could in fact be a total beard as well as a really lame actress - but the part about him officially coming out. As my good friend pointed out, if the trashiest Victorian tabloid (The Herald Sun) hadn't jumped on it with a huge sensationalist online article seven hours later, then it simply couldn't be true.

The whole drama really did raise some interesting questions, however. Namely: when did I become such a dribbling, pathetic tweenage girl all over again? In order to feel better I had to hop on to My Life Is Twilight. I instantly felt smugly better about myself in comparison to the people on here. Not only have I never even read the books, but I know - unlike them - that what I have with R.Patz is really real.

Now here's some more gay fuel for the fire.

Pick the Perp

If there was ever a time and place for blatant racism, gender stereotyping, and completely inappropriate crossing of legal ethical boundaries - then Pick the Perp would be it.

I'm trying to be more prejudiced. I really am. I'm trying to put myself in their shoes. I'm thinking "if I were caught Trafficking In Illegal Drugs, what would I look like?". But I still can't raise my rate of correct guesses above 25%.

The best bit is when he 'snaps' his gynecological gloves.

Global Warming is not Santa Claus
1/3/2010 1:48:22 PM

As we bask in the underglow of the UN's latest Climate Summit in Copenhagen, it once again becomes apparent to us that many - namely, the money-makers and deal-breakers - simply aren't taking this whole global warming thing seriously enough. It doesn’t take an international policy genius to recognise that - for all the flashy rhetoric about “recognising a requirement” and “non-legally binding mitigation targets” – the global powers (who are, coincidentally, the biggest environmental culprits) simply don’t yet want to do anything that could impede upon the status quo.

I guess Banksy had this same strain of thought when he stencilled this latest piece on a canal bank in Camden at the conclusion of the Summit. For me, it just sums up something that I know a lot of us are thinking: why the fuck are we still debating this, and why aren’t we actually doing something tangible? There’s not even any point in reiterating the facts anymore, because deep-down we're all aware of the reality: the big G.W. isn’t something that will go away if we pretend it’s not there, it’s not some existential inner dilemma, and it’s not some airy-fairy notion that you can simply choose to “believe in” like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny.

Natalie Portman - Lesbian Marriage was invented for you
10/30/2009 5:00:46 PM
Natalie Portman just got one notch cooler in my mind. We all already knew that she was the sexiest, smartest babe in Tinseltown ... but who knew she could rap?

Youtube has disabled embedding (bastards), but make sure you visit this....
